Blue tiles

A quilt for my Mom.
Fun to make, difficult to photograph!
I tried indoors light and outdoors... and could not capture the bright turquoise colors in it.

Cathedral State Park - Nevada

We traveled West and South thru Nevada on our way to visit family in St George, Utah. Our first night was spent here - at Cathedral State Park.
There were great formations and cliffs and slot canyons.
Inside the slot canyons was cool temps and groovy textures!
Below are my wonderful adventure dogs.

This was just wide enough to walk thru. Loved it.

The park was a great place to spend a night and do some exploring!

Just a Simple Quilt

This was an afternoon quilt - so very simple and small. Just a row of flags on a colorful striped fabric, and Winnie the Pooh on the back. The back fabric is a cotton corduroy with the super thin pile, it is soft.

It's a baby boy quilt. My son has a friend who's wife is expecting in a week or two...

BTW - I am still practicing on the quilting machine frame; I am getting my stitches more consistently even. The stitch regulator that would do that for me is over $500.... so I will keep practicing. :)

Home Sweet Castle

This weeks creations were of castle decor...
...a medieval flare...

I combined free motion thread sketches
with crazy quilt, then with machine stitching.

Each banner is 13" across and 20" to the point. Hanging together they measure about 40" across.
