This photo was taken by a friend on our motorcycle trip to Southern Utah. I think the lighting and the colors are just perfect, and I love the contrast between the sharp cactus thorns and the delicate pink flower.
Hi Cat, is this a prickly pear cactus? We have a cactus In Central Texas like it but with yellow blooms. Wish ours were pink! The bloom really stands out. Luv, Joy

Yes, it's a Prickly Pear Cactus, the colors can be yellow to rose to deep red. I'm sure I've seen orange before too.
