We went for a ride on our motorcycles up a canyon this evening to try and beat the heat. After a while we pulled over and walked to a gentle creek about 5 feet wide with large rocks dotted thru it. We found a couple rocks to sit on and enjoyed the peace.
Soon a hummingbird with a mint green back and brown belly started dancing above the water in front of us, just out of our reach. She danced and danced, entertaining us for quite a while.

ReplyDeleteI love hummingbirds. Your little trip sounds great.
ReplyDeleteI love the hummingbird piece too! I wish you could see how many of these hummers live at my house. I have to fill up the little feeders twice a day that are in my flowers on the porch. They dive bomb me when I walk outside if their feeders are empty,,lol. They can be very mean to each other too.
ReplyDeleteI would love to ride on a Harley again,,its been a long time.

One time I saw a hummingbird fly into our french doors, he was knocked out! I held the little bird in my hand and admired its beauty, until it came around and started to fly.
