Making these postcards has been quite fun, if any of you fabric artists or collage artists haven't done an art postcard yet - why not? It's a must! It is a good size to work with (4 x 6) and the piece is very stable when done. Try it & enjoy!
It's been a sunny Sunday - extremely nice for November!
Do you make these in your sleep!? Amazing how you whip these up considering how detail perfect they are!! Your a professional sewing bee!!
ReplyDeleteI am sooooooooooooooooooooo lucky to have one to hang on my tree!!
You really are quite the WIZ at making these. This one is very nice. So peaceful and calming. Nice job, as always.
ReplyDeleteSo very beautiful. All of your work is just delightful. :)
ReplyDeleteI want to.. and would love too..
ReplyDeletebut I don't know what stops me.. your's are so perfect.. I can't stop thinking this will be an imitation..
Oh, your postcards are getting nicer and nicer. I saw that the other one was sold on ebay tonight. Lucky Joy...
ReplyDeleteI made another heart yesterday evening and added some stitches. But unfortunately, my yarn seems to be too thick, I did not really succeed...
Have a great start to the new week!
The colors the stitching the angels..a ~*beautiful*~ creation!
ReplyDeleteWe are also having a mild November! :)
When you do these post cards, is the picture material sewn in, or is it a picture? Do you sew all this onto an actual postcard? or is it just postcard size. If the picture is cloth, where do you get such spiritual cloth pics? Oh I'm curious this morning. LOL Have a good short week and a wonderful Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteI print the picture onto fabric, incorporate it into the crazy quilt, I use a base of fuse-able interfacing and felt for the crazy quilt. I do the embrodery, then fuse it to cardstock with stitch-witchery. Then stitch around the edge. Done. You can do all this on a machine as well...I just don't get along w/ my sewing machine...
ReplyDeleteThanks MaryEllen! One more day at work will make for a wonderful short week!!
More lovely creations, Cat.
ReplyDeleteAnother lovely postcard Cat! I did one for a swap in swapbot. Of course I never got one in return. And mine did not look anywhere close to as good as yours look. Sometimes I just dont' think I have a knack for material. Hi to Blue from Lady!
