Flocked Trees
I can't even think of words to convey the rugged beauty of these trees. This wasn't a fresh snowfall covering them, it was frozen flocking from the storms and the winds and the cold at a high altitude. Here's a closeup:
Nature in its unwelcoming and unforgiving state.Beckons only the camera.Untouchable beauty.
I have never BEEN in snow like this....it looks amazing. I can't believe it is like this and you took gorgeous shots. All white and wonderful sitting warm and snug at my computer - I can afford to be romantic about it. But I see your point ! an Unforgiving State it certainly is......Brrrr.
ReplyDelete....what a wonderful world....
ReplyDeleteAmazing how beauty can be so harsh, isn't it?

ReplyDeleteMagnificent photos, it is so pretty. How cold is it there? It is in the 50's here and I am freezing. Does Annie like the snow?

ReplyDeleteWhoa! these pics are bringing back the days when I lived in Mt. Pocono... I'm done with days where my car & house get buried after a snow plow drive by... lol So, I'll enjoy the journey from Ur blog! ;)

ReplyDeleteCat, these picture are beautiful...it reminds me of when I lived near Lake Tahoe,California.
ReplyDeleteI lived at a place called 8 mile and one morning we woke to the most snow I had ever seen. You could not see my Dads car. We had to dig out...it was beautiful and so darn cold. I remember my hands burning as they became warm in the house. I don't know why, but I just love the white stuff.
a lovely winter, Mary
we are supposed to get snow tomorrow night....goodie!
WOW! Here's a word for you....BRRRRRRRRRR :-) LOL. How can it be so absolutely beautiful to look at and yet so terrible to be in?
ReplyDeleteSeriously, it is breath-taking!
These fotoz are fantastic but the first one is by far the best for my eyes. I love to look, but I'm sure glad I don't live in snow country anymore. It is beautiful but I'm not into that much cold. Eek.
ReplyDeleteHope life is treating you good.
Hi Cat, Your pictures belong on a greeting card....it does look almost fake....I wait for some beautiful snow fall, so I can take picture, but we get some that never really covers all the bushes etc. and then it's gone again.... and it is cold here in Ohio too...
ReplyDeleteCan't you take those pictures and print them on fabric and add a little sparkle and quilt them into your wonderful art work..
Well have a nice warm evening, It's neighbor night so I'm off to my neighbors for popcorn and watching battle of the stars.... judy
