I've been in a wandering [art] stage for months now;
tired of the little crazy quilt collages
but haven't found a new niche to settle into.
I don't try a lot of different art ideas
simply because that usually leads to buying new supplies...
experimenting...
...and moving on.
I’ve settled briefly on the penny rug style…
but not for long I think.
I made another necklace… I call it “Bohemian Nights”.
...a bit bored with it all.
...
Well it does not bore me ! Bohemian NIghts..sounds mysterious and wonderful !
ReplyDeleteLooks pretty too.
Now is that a quilt you are working in the background ? Loving THAT!
Experimenting is good....it all comes together at some point .
These colors are rich and wonderful. Really want to see that quilt in background....i find myself craning my neck around to try to see more thru this picture window ...And where is Annie while I am at it ?
Don't worry Cat it will all come together for you - experimenting can be lots of fun & lead to other ventures or else it will give you a re-newed look at the beauty of what you are already doing - maybe with a new twist. Bohemian Nights looks & sounds so exotic & romantic ... all the best & enjoy that playing ... OOroo ... Bethel
ReplyDeleteLove your work Cat and the necklace is great, Sorry you are feeling unsettled, I think we all have times when we are a little bit fed up with things or lacking motivation but we usually come thro' it ok with even better ideas, does that make sense?
ReplyDeleteI understand getting bored with things your making, but I would really miss seeing new necklaces ... am still drooling for Moonlight Squash Blossom ... am hoping it doesn't leave Etsy before I get my allowance. :)
ReplyDeleteif you get the chance, send me your email address and I'll send you a little prezzie.
I'm right there with the first comment---what is that delightful thing in the background? I really miss the crazy quilt pieces, have you thought of making them bigger, I would love to buy some to incorp.
ReplyDeletein a quilt of my own, like 6in. sq.
anyone with your stiching talent is not allowed to put the needle down......BE BLESSED :-)
I get that way with my arts too. I have to go back forth between different projects or I get bored.
ReplyDeleteLove the necklace!
xoxooxoxoxoxo
I love this necklace Cat!!! Really neat looking...My problem is the opposite of yours. I tend to want to do everything, try it all, and then I end up getting overwhelmed...and that gets me stuck in a rut.
ReplyDeleteWhat you've done with circles is so appealing to me. I love all the ways in which you've used them. Kind of amazing to me.
