I just love orange cats.
I'm really a dog person... but have two cats...
one black
one calico
and no orange cats.
So... here is a tribute to the lovable orange cats out there.
...and to the barn they frequent in their dreams...
...and to the horse that really lives in the barn...
All are 8 X 10 thread sketches.
...and on etsy.
(Smiles)
And... THANK YOU to all your wonderful sweet comments!
Thank YOU! (P.S. I have a silly, fuzzy orange stuffed animal cat on my bed because I LOVE orange ginger cats, but can't have one!!)
ReplyDeleteWow! I just love these. I wish I could have a ginger cat but silly hubby is alergic, sigh.
ReplyDeleteG'day Cat
ReplyDeleteMyyy you are so clever with that new sewing machine... you can even give your animals such character... you ginger cats look so cheeky... they are thinking wicked thoughts of what next they can get up too... & as for the horse in the barn... he's wondering what their next antics are going to be too... keep up the great work... loving seeing them... OOroo... B
OMG, I love the ginger cats. And I have a real one - my sweet furson Boomer. We got him a wee kitten, and bonded immediately; he used to "nurse" on my earlobe at night! LOL. Genetically, orange tabbies are mostly male (males are never 3-colored; it's sex-lined to females), gregarious, smart and VERY talkative. Cats can have up to 17 different vocalizations, and I swear, I know most of Boomers; we really do communicate! Anyway, I'm a big fan of all your art, and proud owner of three pieces, LOL. And I'm drooling over that barn. And the horse. And the rooster, and the cats of course...

Remind me to proofread my comments before I hit the "publish" button. I'm embarrassed by 3 typos in last post. Color is sex-linKed in cats... we'll let the other errors slide... Hugs, C
ReplyDeleteI LOVE all cats of any color; we had a wonderful pair of calico kitties as kids. One had 6 toes on all her feet. Very funny! Your stitchings are great.
