...Navy Mom...

My youngest son Levi joined the Navy. He is in boot camp over the holidays; has been there since the end of October. I've received 3 letters and finally one phone call. He had to have his wisdom teeth out on Monday which involved a lot of drilling. {{{shiver}}} ...And he is having a quite painful week now. Other than that he is doing great... acutally got a top score on a personal inspection last week - (Is that the same boy we nick named "Leave-it"?)
Blessings to all the armed forces thru the holidays!

  1. God bless your brave son, and all his sailor brothers as well. It must be so hard to see a son go off to serve, and then to hear he's having pain. ;( Poor guy...poor mom too. Your ship is lovely Cat, such a beatufiul tribute, as only you can do! Sending a big hug to you both. xoxo Paulette PS. Love his name!

  6. I remember when Cory was a newbie in the Army...he had never been away from his family. When he was allowed to write me...after I love you Mom and Dad came this...I am sorry for being such a lazy son, for acting up over taking out the trash and making my bed. I miss you so much!
I missed him with all of my heart, but was so glad he was learning how to make his bed. ..TEE HEE
They have our hearts forever no matter where they are. Hugs, Mary

  9. Ohh how our babies grow & change... sounds like your son belonged to our Sky Hook crew... lol
I wish him, all the best & pray he keeps safe...
also I pray for the strength of his mother who is aching inside with pride but also loss... loss of her little boy who has grown into manhood in the flash of an eye...
Cat I've been there & know the pride & also that overwhelming sadness of realisation that our best job in the world, is coming to fruitation...
Mothering, I believe, never ends but it comes to a point that they don't need Mum's loving hand all the time...
But all will be well cause he knows you are always there in the wings watching & loving him... luv... B
