Playing with felt

This is all I've come up with lately...
and I'm not sure what to do with it...

Maybe play with scissors...
And then...
Maybe applique onto a bigger piece...
Make a Mandala...

Any ideas?

Madala ! EXCELLENT

What were those things they painted on barns in Pennsylvania....Maybe it was The Amish that painted them ? Or was it a Dutch thing...?

Anyway, reminds me of those round designs they painted ---like starbursts.

It does make me think of Summer Stars.

It's beautiful. I love this new penny rug making path you are on.

I came from ART TEA LIFE to tell you the necklace you made for her is gorgeous!

Plus I've been looking at your penny rug tree and this star-like design and I love them. Very cool!

Very cool design. How big is it? Use as an applique on a purse, wall hanging?

Very dramatic. Very attention-grabbing. A mandala is a great idea. The hex sign is a Pennsylvania Dutch tradition from Germany. This geometric design is reminiscent of those signs painted on barns. Whatever you do with it, it is great!

Wooh Cat this is looking good - I went & looked at the Dutch Hex Site that you showed before & I'm thinking you have stitched yourself a prayer mandala ... After you made the other Penny Rugs I had to go look those up to as they are something I'd never seen before - after research... Of course they are an American tradition of long ago ... you are indeed a very creative & intuitive woman. Also I think Linda looks great in her new necklace ... luv ... B
