Here are the 2 women's shelter quilts I made this past week. They were a good opportunity to experiment with feather shapes on the quilting frame.
The front has strips that are 9" across, there are 30 positive affirmation words stitched into some of the off white strips. The rest of the fabric is Rowan Liberty from 2009.
I used flannel on the backs, thinking that would be cozy for cold Utah winters. If you click on the pic you can see the meandering feathering. The quilts are a twin comforter size.
I go back to work tomorrow, with mixed feelings! Half of me says YAY and the other half says Boo Hoo!
Thanks again to all my blogger friends!

Oh! BIG TIME blessings to you, Cat! You will undoubtedly make some cold and perhaps very sad people feel loved under these quilts. I am glad that you are well enough to go back to work after your major surgery...but fully understand not wanting to leave your nest, your snuggles, and your quilting projects behind for the week! Rest too!
PS. I sent before I expressed how IMPRESSED I am about your quilting...those backs are so intricate! Wow. Beautiful patterns, Cat. And you do them so quickly...when you are healing...wow.
Cat,
They are beautiful! Glad to hear you are doing so well.

The quilts are beautiful. I understand your mixed feeling about going back to work. I am just glad that you are well. You'll have to share how your first day back feels. hugs, Mary
@ Mary - Back to work went great. I really DO like my job and it was nice to be back. I have been surprised at the levels of energy I have had too... I expected to be dragging, but I have felt REALLY REALLY good! Thanks. C
