Butterflies and Birds

Butterflies and birds. Color out of the black, colorful threads of life, things with wings.

Living free.... searching always... giving thanks.

Life is what you make it.

We went to our new home yesterday evening and sat on the back porch; looked out over the grass and neighboring community, and steeped in the country air. It was relaxing and revealing. We are ready mentally for the move. Almost ready physically - we have 18 days left and still packing, and still need to make all the arrangements with the utilities and internet and etc. I would like to go out with the camera today and take a few more shots of my yard and flowers and views that I will leave behind.

Hi Cathy, glad to see you have a few minutes to keep everyone up to date on your move and show us your fantastic art work. Just imagine all the flowers and shrubs you can plant when Spring arrives next year. With your creative and artistic talent it will be a beauty to behold. ( Don't forget the sweetpea chair) Maybe you can take cuttings from your favorite plants and carry them with you - they should have good roots by next Spring. I think of you often and hope your have a very smooth and happy move. Hugs, Joy

just memory cards.. inthis beautiful style you have..
I moved 5 times in 17 years.. now I'm in my dream home..hope don't have to move again.. but each time I moved I sensed a slightly sad nostalgia.. against all the projects..hope and happiness I had because of the new home.. do I sense the same in you??

  7. Nice to get an update. When I sold my house it was all the yard projects in progress that I missed when I left. But the young man who bought it said he'd finish each project. I choose to believe him and view the finished project in my head often. I really like the message of your butterfly and bird cards. Quite nice.

  14. the patchwork you have here speak of bittersweetness, the black background of saying goodbye, and the burst of color thread the beginnings of your new adventure...
