Home Brew

One of my husband's talents is making the best beer I've ever tasted.
He home brews delicious beers; my favorite are a Nut Brown Ale, and a Honey Wheat, but I have to admit that every time I sample a new brew I say, "this is my favorite!"

Camping pictures

Just sharing some pictures from our overnighter. We went to Rockport State Park - which is only about a 45 minute drive away.

First, Here is the view:

And the shoreline:

...untangling puppies on my magic carpet... (with camp hair)

I believe this is called a puppy implant... (you should see me with two)

That's all!

Invisible Children

The Invisible Children are children abducted in war inflicted areas in Africa, they are given guns and taught to fight. The current situation is hot.

My 23 year old (birthday today) son has a heart for these children.

He is going to attend a "rescue" gathering in SLC next weekend and needed a tote bag to take, we are in the process of making that...

At the "rescue" they will write letters to govenment officials to encourage more involvement to stop the war and save these children.

...And I leave you with... two tired sweeties that finally stoped running long enough for a picture.

They are cuddling together with a puppy comfort doll! (A gift from Auntie Sandy)

Bucket Bags

The middle bag... I'm calling a "Camisole Bag" - and it's adorable stuffed with knitting supplies...
it has hand painted flowers and freestyle machine stitching, and is listed on etsy.
The other two peeking from behind are more "Bucket Bags", one with tulips and one with birds, appliqued then machine stitched. They still need me to put handles on them... then I can list them as well. Maybe next week.
This weekend we are getting in a one night camping trip... to somewhere close... for a trial run... see how the puppies do... which reminds me - they are not leash trained yet...
humn....
that was interesting with Annie... the leash training...
I'm sure the pups will put on their brakes too...
Well... better get busy here.
Have a Happy and hopefully sunny weekend!

Bags!

Check out these 3 tapestry bags that my Mom made! They are tote bag style. They remind me of the carpetbags in the era after the Civil war. We listed them on etsy.

The bag with birds is a tote style as well, Mom took my birdie panel and made it into a canvas bag.
The second one is my design of a "Bucket Bag", shaped like a bucket.

Bucket of Flowers!
Hand painted flowers with machine freehand stitching, then stipple quilted.

And of course... Still a lot of playing going on! Annie is lovin' life with playmates now and they always want the same toy or stick or ball or chew bone!! Sharing is the funnest way to play!

HAVE A HAPPY WEEKEND (I know I am)

HAPPY EASTER!
