No Tomatoes yet!

The tomato plants are the big ones - I even pruned them back a couple times...
I have lots of big pretty green tomatoes... but no red yet!
But I do have....

SERANO PEPPERS!

This plant is full of Thai peppers (very very hot!)

They will turn orange before I pick them.

Getting ready for Salsa!

Penny Rug Tree

Christmas in July! It's 100 degrees today and here is a Christmas tree. The inside pennies are penny size and the outter ones are about a quarter size. I sewed a charm or button or beads to each one.
Now... back to painting the deck railing.

Mountain flowers...

These pictures are from Wyoming - took them when we were on a short hike up a canyon from Mom's home. It was a heavy snow winter and consequently things are green and there are many blooms.

STRAWBERRIES

When I was about 11 and 12 years old I lived in the northwest part of Oregon. My brother and I would leave about 5 am each morning in the summer and walk to the end of our dead end road and catch a bus to the strawberry fields.
I really didn't care for strawberries for many years after that. The sweet strawberry smell would instantly recall a big fat overripe one plastered against my face... and my brother laughing.

All in fun. The hot summer days picking strawberries made for good memories. I did get in a good throw myself now and again.

I have taken a new liking to strawberries now . I like the ones that don't have that sweet aroma that remind me...
See the pretty velvet variety... if you pick that one you will also have a pincushion. Check out Nikki's etsy shop. She is the artsy talented daughter of a friend of mine in Oregon.

PEACE PRAYER

I've been working on a penny rug lately and put the last penny on today. I stilll need to finish the piece with a back. It's my first penny rug, and I enjoyed going in circles. The middle circles are the size of a penny, and the outer circles are just over an inch in diameter.
Peace to all.
