Sunshine

Just a doodle...
to let you know...
Don't forget your Vitamin D!
Some symptoms of not enough vitamin D are very low energy levels, depression, and chronic pain. I thought all that was just part of aging in this crazy busy spinning world we live in. My doctor checked my D level and I was low. We are treating it with supplements now (about 2 months into it) and it has made a world of difference. I have energy I haven't had for 20 years, my lower back and sciatic pain are at about 1/3 of what they used to be. And it's easier to keep a smile on my face. Funny, I always taught my kids that happiness is a decision, not a result of circumstances.... which I still believe... but.... I have been amazed at how much easier it is to decide to be happy when your body is in balance nutritionally. It just makes sense that the Sunshine Vitamin is an important key!
So.... Get your D levels checked!

Interesting, Cat, especially since you live where there's quite a bit of sunshine...unlike here.

Just a note...
The doc said there seems to be many people with low D now and attributes it to our more indoor lifestyles, or our more attention to sunscreen. I think it can also be attributed to our increased amounts of contaminants in all we eat and breath...inhibiting the bodies ablility to process the vitamins.

I just said this to the kids about 10 minutes ago. How funny. It's so sunny today, time to get outside and make that Vit. D !!

Good advice as we go into winter. I know that we don't get enough D in this house. I am fair and mostly stay out of the sun, I do take a vit D with my Calcumn, it may not be enough.
Thank You Cat, Hugs, Mary

Yes it is so true ... we need sunshine to survive ... I think that is one of the reasons they encourage us to have morning walks, here in Oz, as it's not 'too' hot, not too bright/burnie sun as it clears the mind & has all those other benifits ... so I'll keep on walking... take care Cat & pleased to hear you are feeling a lot better ... Nice cheerful doodle CAt! Love that sunshine and it just makes you feel alive to be outdoors. I got the crummy flu the day after TDay and spent the day literally in bed and when I did get up and get out yesterday around the yard I felt so much better. Geez, it has been so warm in Northern California it's almost scary. Thank you Cat, take care and feel the warmth of the sun upon your talented face! Pam in Chico
