Sharon

Sharon was the first Harley riding lady I met. Now the roads are full of women riders, including me. She was a beautiful free-spirit who loved and laughed and thoroughly enjoyed life. She has fought a battle with breast cancer for many years now, and she won - meaning she is free now. She got her wings on August 12th and now rides with the angels - heaven's angels that is.

I call this piece "meditation". The words say:

"Clear my mind from the troubles of the day and imagine a butterfly on a clear blue day. I am free. Free from pain and worries. I can fly. My wings are blue and purple but not the blue of my bruises but a sun shine blue. I fly to visit places that are in my dreams and I visit you. And I love you and one day you will join me in the clouds."
Meditation

That was so touching Cat. I'm so sorry she's gone. Your tribue is really beautiful, and brought tears to my eyes. My mom had breast cancer 26 years ago. She's fine now, thank goodness. Your stitching just amazes me. Hugs, Paulette

WOW- what an amazing piece. I really like the writing in the background and it subtlety. I recently had a friend go to be with Jesus and I miss her.
