Fabric art journal books

I sewed a stack of fabric books out of quilted muslin.
Blank books.
Full of quilted pages to decorate.
So soft. Even cuddly.
My husband (who has the mind of an artist only if looking at the paint on a Harley Davidson) says, "These are really cool, but..."
"but you're making something that won't sell. What are people going to do with them? Staple things to the pages? Use a magic marker and write on the pages?"

I wasn't hurt.
I know that textile artists will know what to do with my books.

Have a happy weekend!

They are beautiful just as they are too.

Would be a great way to collect / keep your vintage lace bits , buttons , flea finds.....

Fun idea, Cat, with lots of space to practice/experiment stitching.

Your. Books. Are. Gorgeous! They will sell like hotcakes. As for me, I am obviously not a “fiber artist”, because I would just be content to look at them. :-)

couldn't be more beautiful...I love the ticking and muslin and need to go look at my stash. I love the raggy edges...well, I love everything about them.

Thanks for your lovely creation!

Too funny - your husband and his Harley. I have a husband and a harley too - with similar taste I might add. Your journals are lovely, organic blank slates just waiting for something magical to be shared within their pages. Beautiful.
