Threads

Ah - color!

I don't split threads. I know, call me lazy, but I take the easy way... I almost always embroider with the Pearl Cotton no. 8.

And I love it! This picture is of my new stash that came in the mail, I ordered it from a blogger, Sue, with the VINTAGE TO VICTORIAN BLOG. She has a ton of embroidery threads of all kinds [check out this post] and is selling them.

Meanwhile, this little guy below is peeking over a bud to wish you a

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!

I've posted pictures of my pets Blue and Jet, there is one more, her name is Shady. She is about 17 years old and is a calico manx (notice the stubby tail).

Aaaah Cat! I've just left a thank you comment and it's vanished!

I basically said, thank you so much for this lovely post. I'm glad you're pleased with the threads and I've already had an enquiry from one of your blog followers.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you make with them and, as you say, I have a ton of threads to sell!!!

Thanks again.
Best wishes - and let's hope this comment uploads!

From Joy: Oh Cathy, when I scrolled down to the picture of the grasshopper I laughed till I almost lost my breath - the only grasshopper I've ever enjoyed looking at!!!! That pic is a treasure - good expression on his face, like he finished his third beer in celebration of the Fourth.

Your cat is a lovely lady. Does Blue like his housemates?

Hope you have had a FUN FOURTH of JULY. Ours is wet - as the last week has been . . . . but not flooding anymore. Happy Holiday, JOY

Those colors are fabulous! How much were they? I went to her site and found the 2 messages from June, but she never says the price. I guess I should write her, but it's so tempting to order way too much! Plus postage. I like 8 and 12 perle, but I also like stitching some things with 1 or 2 strands, so I have it all.

You would like the Sassa Lynne - it's basically an 8, maybe a *tiny* bit smaller. And slick right through the fabric. I'm having a great time stitching with that!

Love your last two pics!

I have never heard of Pearl Cotton number eight. It looks beautiful, though. What kind of a store, do you buy it in? Is at the specialty product?

I love to picture of your kitty Shady. I love it when cat's faces coloration splits their face and half like that. I hope you had a wonderful Fourth of July. Mine was noisy. LOL!

Now that I retired LOL has a new meaning for me = Lady of Leisure.
