Jean Quilt

Hot off the sewing machine is my first jean quilt! It is for my Grand-dog ZEEK, shown below. He is an awesome bouncy happy boxer who just moved to Utah from Florida. YAY!  Also I'm delighted to have my son and daughter in law - Levi and Jenna move back. Four years in the Navy - done!

The quilt... (my first and last jean quilt I bet!) is heavy - It is free-form patchwork, into large blocks, then 4 rows. I pressed all the seams open then stitched on both sides of them. Paired it up with a text fabric (Premier Prints from fabric.com - heavier than quilters cotton), thin cotton batting in the middle, and quilted it with wavy lines. It's purpose... will be a seat cover in the back of my dil's auto for Zeek.

ZEEK ! ! !

Zeke is adorable (we had a boxer once when I was growing up and I loved him!). Denim quilts are sturdy as he**, but are a pain to sew. I started one a few years ago that is still a UFO. It will be backed in flannel someday. love your patchwork idea, Hugs, Cat

Lucky Zeek! I'll bet that was a challenging project, but it sure looks great.
