Pansies

My Pansies are blooming.
I was looking thru my bin of old projects and found this one with a pansy theme. As I look at it now - a couple years later I wonder why I didn't dye the lace ecru color! It stands out too much in the stark white. Oh well. It was a fun piece to put together.

I agree the ecru would have been more pleasing, but this is still a very lovely block.

Ecru or not, it's a beautiful piece! It's fun to look back and see how we've grown, isn't it?

I love pansies.

I love this quilt....!

(((I thought I had left a comment on this post ?)))

To me , the white lace looks perfect - like all of your creations. Each piece has everything right where it should be , just as it should be.

Beautiful Cat ! Beautiful.

Wow when I enlarge the photo... I can really see more details and your stitches are amazing. I love that one in the upper left - the circle....sort of a star burst ? And then that silk ribbon stitching down in the lower left....! the little lavender spike. LOVE THAT ! oooh , this is so gorgeous. It is such a work of art !

(so this is in a BIN ? not displayed ??? good GRIEF!)

You could still dye them right on the piece. I've done it. I used a small paintbrush and the Oze dyes. Worked very well!

Or what about taking tea bags that you've used and pressing them gently into the lace, until the color changes a bit?

Looks perfect to me! Love the combination and the contrast. Would look fabulous in an antique frame. Would love to see it on ebay!

Hope your are doing fine!

Have a wonderful week-end and best wishes from Germany,
