Hi Cat, is this a prickly pear cactus? We have a cactus In Central Texas like it but with yellow blooms. Wish ours were pink! The bloom really stands out.Luv, Joy
Yes, it's a Prickly Pear Cactus, the colors can be yellow to rose to deep red. I'm sure I've seen orange before too. :) Cat
