My Grandparents

These pics had to be in the 20's. Aren't they a handsome bunch! The sepia photo is my Dad's parents and the black/white photo is of my Mom's parents (in the motorcycle attire).

The one I got any artistic ability from is the girl in the hat. She was always making something beautiful. She taught me how to crochet teddy bears and hacky-sac's in her last part of life.

All are gone now except the guy with the bandana. And he's a live-wire!

Vondella and John on the left. Rhoda Mae and Leonard on the right.

"Youth fades..love droops..the leaves of friendship fall..a mother's secret hope outlives them all!"
I think of this quote as I look at these precious photos. Even more precious a grandaughter who thinks so fondly of her grandparents!! I can only pray that mine think of me in loving this way in their adult life!:)

Yehhh, Rhoda Mae does remind me a bit of you Cat.

Great memories - the crocheting..so this is another talent of yours ???

Do you do that really teeny tiny crochet work ? Lacey edgings and doilies ?

These are great photos. I do love the Rhoda Mae and Leo shot.

Future quilts ?
