I made my first fabric post card (sewed the crazy quiltie onto paper...) and am going to mail it today to my SIL. This was fast & fun, I'm definately going to try it again. Of course...the possiblilites are endless!

Hi, I followed your link from Colette's - a harley? My husband has just bought a new one a few months ago. I still have to get the courage to get on the back. He goes riding with a group each weekend and loves it
I want to have a go at a fabric postcard and then I want to make myself a crazy quilt something. I love to sew!

how funny ! I posted today about sewing paper tags -- it is fun isn't it !? Something about it....I don't know what it is that makes it feel so easy & fun...I mean I can't put my finger on it. What say you ??

This is a wonderful postcard Cat

Now what is SIL ?

I hope it does not make me say "Oh Duh..."

Anyway , it shows that you had fun making this. IT turned out wonderful.

Let's see more !

OHP!

it means Sister In Law doesn't it ?

yehhh, Kansas Rose had a blog entry with SIL on it too....I asked her too and then...in a flash it came to me.

I knew it was going to be something obvious...oh well !

it could have meant "Son in Louisiana"

or...???

Isn't sewing on paper delicious?? It's just lovely; mine are more, um, loose and undisciplined.

Yes, my art is NOT very loose & undisciplined (of which look I love and sometimes try to achieve)...but alas...I still color within the lines. Some habbits never break! I can't explain it....

Such a good idea, I might have to actually start sewing...I think these fabric photos could be creative to work with!

This is amazing!!! You do such beautiful work Cat! Is there a special needle you use to do this? What kind of card do you use and thread? I have always been sewing challenged but maybe I can sew cards? :)
